The timing of a DIY painting project alone can be tricky because you’ll need to get the right equipment before you can even start. You’ll probably spend a few hours buying this equipment – things like paintbrushes, rollers, paint, drop sheets, sanding blocks, sandpaper, and filler for the holes. By the time you tackle this part of your rental remodel project it’ll be lunchtime. If you’re lucky, you may have the first coat of paint on your walls by dinnertime. In the next few days you may be able to get the ceiling and walls painted, if you’re both lucky and organized. However, if you’re like most investors you probably work another job throughout the week. As such, you’ll have two choices when you’re trying to finish up the finish and doors: either spend every other night after your “day job” working on your rental renovation or wait until the following weekend to complete it.

In the meantime, a painter could have had the interior of the whole rental remodel project completed in just a few days while you were at work.
